My account is restricted
Fewer servers for a while; everything else and your plan's validity stay the same. It lifts automatically.
To keep the network stable for everyone, the system automatically detects BT / P2P downloading, account sharing, pulling subscriptions with third-party tools, packet capture and reverse engineering, port scanning and similar behaviour. Detected accounts enter a restricted state.
What happens
- Fewer servers are available; other features and your plan's validity are not affected, and nothing needs changing in the app.
- We email you the reason and when it ends.
- Duration: 7 days the first time; 14 days if it happens again during or after; 30 days for each time after that. It lifts automatically.
- Your plan keeps running while restricted; a restriction isn't grounds for a refund or extension.
How to avoid it
- Don't use BT or other P2P downloading.
- Keep your account to yourself.
- Use the official apps; don't capture traffic or fetch subscriptions with third-party tools. Normal installing, updating and using the official apps never triggers a restriction.
Full rules: section 5 of the Terms of Service. If you have a legitimate need to inspect app traffic, contact us beforehand.
